LOUGHTON,ESSEX CHURCHES TOGETHER FUN DAY

		Simon, Joe, Martyn and Koya represented Tough Talk at the Fun Day organised by Loughton Churches Together. A few members of Tough Talk are members of the churches involved. Simon and Joe shared their testimonies, Martyn demonstrated the squat and Koya demonstrated the bench press before a good crowd in beautiful weather for an open air meeting. The gospel was clearly presented and we pray that those listening will respond to the call to give their lives to Jesus Christ.

CHELMSFORD CHRISTIAN FESTIVAL

		Simon, Arthur and Martin were the Tough Talk team who shared this meeting with The Band With No Name. About 200 young people heard Simon and Arthur give testimony and Martin demonstrated the squat. There was a good response to the gospel.

WATFORD COMMUNITY CHURCH

		The Watford Community Church currently meets in the School and the moning meeting was packed. The Tough Talk team was made up of Simon, Joe and Chris. Chris demonstrated the squat during Siomon's testimony. Joe gave his story and also demonstrated the bench press and supervised the bench press competition. The meeting concluded with Simon giving a gospel challenge. We are so encouraged to be able to report that several people responded to the challenge to give their lives to Jesus Christ.

JUBILEE CHURCH, SHEPPERTON

		A Tough Talk team made up of Ian, Joe and Koya gave a Tough Talk presentation to the Jubilee Church and the building was packed to capacity. Both Joe and Ian gave their testimonies and Koya demonstrated his prowess at the squat and also demonstrated the benchpress for the competition. Ian gave a powerful gospel challenge at the end of the meeting and many of those present responded to the call to give their lives over to Jesus Chriost. We pray that these people will become true disciples of the lord Jesus!

NEW LIFE CHURCH CHESTERFIELD

		Simon and Joe made the long journey to Chesterfield to take part in the outreach organised by the New Life Church on Sunday evening June 6. The venue was packed and those present were very attentive to the guys as they gave their stories. Joe demonstrated the benchpress and there was a very noisy response to the competition in which the contestants had to do the "hammer hold".Simon made a gospel challenge and several people responded to the call to give their lives to Jesus Christ. The church folk were also very pleased to have several of those present sign up for the new Alpha course that they are starting.

ST MATTHEW'S CHURCH FULHAM

		Simon and Arthur represented Tough Talk at the evening meeting in this Anglican church in Fulham. The meeting was very well attended and Simon demonstrated the bench press and the guys also did a competition for ther audience. Both Arthur and Simon gave their testimonies and Simon concluded the meeting with a gospel challenge to which many people responded.Lets pray that these people go on with the Lord to become true disciples!

PENTECOST FESTIVAL LEICESTER SQUARE

		A Tough Talk team with Ian, Arthur, Martin and Chris were part of the Pentecost Festival programme in the centre of London. The square was packed with people on a glorious sunny day and they saw Chris demonstrate the squat, Arthur gave his testimony and Ian presented a very powerful gospel challenge,. The event was featured on the BBC 1 TV programme "Pentecost" that covered events across London organised by the Pentecost Festival.

SALVATION ARMY SUNBURY-ON THAMES

		Arthur and Adam gave a Tough Talk presentation at the Salvation Army Conference Centre in Sunbury. Unfortunately, we could not send an active powerlifter for the evening and although we had Arthur, a former world champion powerlifter, he cannot now lift because he has had both knees replaced! Instead, Arthur showed a DVD of his powerlifting exploits from the past and the audience participated in a competition. Arthur and Adam gave their testimonies which were well received by those present.

HMP HIGH DOWN

		Ian led the service where around 80 men gathered in the prison chapel. After the meeting, one young man spoke to Ian telling him that he had read a book called Tough Talk and had given his life to the Lord as a result. He had previously not known about Tough Talk and was reallty pleased to meet Ian face to face.

WYCLIFFE BAPTIST CHURCH READING

		Arthur, Simon and Chris were the team for this evening meeting and the hall was packed with people. Extra chairs had to be hurriedly found.Chris demonstrated the squat as well as giving a brief testimony. Simon and Arthur shared their stories and following Simon's gospel challenge, severla people responded and were followed up by local church members.

THE DRIVE PUB,EASTBOURNE

		A Tough Talk team was invited by the Old Town Community Church in Eastbourne to give a presentation at the Drive Pub. Arthur, Simon and Adam made up the team and they gave a Tough Talk presentation to a packed and lively pub. A large proportion of those present were regular drinkers at the pub. Simon gave a demonstration of the bench press and all three guys gave their testimonies. Even in such a challenging environment several people responded to the gospel challenge for which we praise the Lord!

MANOR PARK CHRISTIAN CENTRE

		The Tough Talk team for this visit to the Tamil-speaking congregation of the Manor Park Christin Centre was Ian, Koya and Simon. The building was packed with people who saw Koya demonstrate the squat and all three guys gave testimony. Even though the message was given through an interpreter, there was an amazing response to the gospel challenge!

HMP KILMARNOCK

		This visit of Tough Talk to HMP Kilmarnock was organised by the Scottish Prison Fellowship. Ian flew to Glasgow from Stansted and Arthur from Exeter to get to the prion. The meeting was held in the prison gym with the enthusiastic support of the gym staff. The men saw a demonstration of the squat by Ian and listened attentively to the testimonies fom both Ian and Arthur. Thee was a good response to the gospel. The guys gave out a large number of books and DVDs.

OAKLEIGH COMMUNITY CHURCH

		Simon and Chris were the Tough Talk representatives for this outreach. The church building was full and saw Chris demonstrate the squat. Both Simon and Chris presented their testimonies and there was a very encouraging response to the gospel challenge.

HMP PENTONVILLE

		Tough Talk were invited to HMP Pentonville by the gym staff and Ian and Arthur represented us. There were more than 100 men in the gym to see Ian demonstrate the squat and to hear both of the guys present their stories and a gospel challenge. The men were lively but attentive throughout the meeting. The competition was very noisy and a great success. As they left, the guys were told that they would certainly be invited back!

ELIM CHRISTIAN CENTRE

HOPE COMMUNITY CHURCH,WYMONDHAM

		Ian and Simon made a return visit to Wymondham on behalf of Tough Talk to a meeting arranged by Hope Community church.There was a good response to the gospel challenge and the guys were further encouraged to hear of three people in the audience who made a committment to Jesus at the Tough Talk meeting held in Wymondham about three years ago.These folk were now part of the church and growing in their faith.

PRINCESS ROYAL BARRACKS, DEEPCUT

		The Padre of the Barracks at Deepcut forwarded us the following comments from two Squadron Commanders after Ian, Arthur and Simon gave a Tough Talk presentation to the soldiers at Deepcut: "Just thought I would let you know that the Tough Talk feedback has all been very positive. The trainees (both 109 & 86) thought it was great and some of them commented that they had no idea that 'drug or steroid fuelled' habits could get them into into such serious trouble. They were amazed that such 'tough guys' found a way ( through the church) to help them. Trainees have suggested that all trainees at Deepcut should receive the talk. I would certainly agree that we should get the tough talk team again maybe in 6-9 months when we have a new trainees in the regiment. I also thoroughly enjoyed the presentation." "Padre: the feedback has been great - the sceptics did not feel that they were being 'force fed' Christianity and the a-religious location of the gym went down well. I thought it was great".

KINGS CHURCH SELBY NEW FRONTIERS IN THE NORTH

		Ian and Koya made the long drive up to Selby to take part in the evangelism day of the New Frontiers Church youth in the North. The venue was crowded and Koya demonstrated the squat lift and Ian gave his testimony. Koya also shared his story and Ian concluded the meeting with a gospel challenge. We are pleased to report that there were manay responses to the challenge. The guys had real problems with travel on the motorways both going to and returning from Yorkshire. They did not get home until 1.30am!! Such is the cost of being evangelists. Please pray for the team as they give themselves to the work of reaching this nation with the gospel.

OAKHILL SECURE TRAINING CENTRE

		Arthur and Martyn visited Oakhill STC to present their testimonies and demonstrate powerlifting to the second half of the young people in the Centre. Again, they did three back-to-back sessions for small groups of young people and the staff responsible for them. To do three sessions like this is very demanding on the lifter (Martyn) and also for the main speaker, Arthur. Nevertheless, the guys feel that this visit to Oakhill and the one on 28th February were very successful and well worth the effort involved.

HMP FRANKLAND

		Ian and Arthur took very early flights to Newcastle(Ian from London and Arthur from Exeter) to present their testimonies and demonstrate powerlifting to a very good crowd of inmates and staff at this Category A prison.They were well received and soon after the session, the team were invited back to the prison for another meeting in May.

OAKHILL SECURE TRAINING CENTRE

		Arthur and Joe visited the Oakhill Secure Training Centre in Milton Keynes. Oakhill is one of several high security establishments for very young offenders and security is such that only small groups of young people can meet together at one time. On this visit, Ian and Joe did three back-to-back presentations to no more than 20 youngsters. There were, of course, several members of staff listening in to the presentations on each occasion! The guys and their message were very well received and we pray that something of eternal value was planted in these young, messed up lives.

		A Tough Talk team comprising Ian, Arthur and Martyn gave a Tough Talk presentation to the folk in Manor Park Christian Centre. The building was full to capacity with a cosmopolitan audience. Ian and Arthur gave their testimonies and Martyn demonstrated the squat. Following a powerful gospel presentation by Ian, a large number of people responded and many went to the front of the meeting for counselling and prayer.

MILITARY CORRECTIONAL TRAINING CENTRE, COLCHESTER

ST JOHN'S CHURCH, EALING

KINGSLAND CHURCH, LEXDEN

		We were very honoured to have been invited to take part in the official opening of the new building for Kingsland Church, Lexden, Colchester. The team for the day was Ian, Simon and Renton. The new building was packed with well over 300 people present. Simon and Renton presented their testimonies and Ian demonstrated the squat, gave a brief testimony and presented a gospel challenge.We are pleased to report that there were many responses to the gospel challenge and we pray that those people who responded will become true disciples of Jesus Christ.

HMP/YOI ASHFIELD

		Ian and Arthur visited HMP/YOI Ashfield again. A new Chaplain has recently taken up his post at the prison and the guys took the opportunity to get to know him. There were around 90 young prisoners and 20 staff to see Ian demonstrate the squat and to hear testimony from both the guys as to how Jesus has changed their lives. They were very well received by the audience

		Ian and Arthur were the Tough Talk team for a meeting in Feltham prison. Unusually, the prison allowed groups of both Juvenile and Young offenders to be together for this meeting. The age range of the lads was 15-21.The meeting got off to a very noisy start with some of the lads "having a go" at each other! This was quickly controlled by the staff and the meeting went ahead. Ian demonstrated the squat and both he and Arthur shared their stories and presented the gospel.Arthur said that the lads were "very lively" but respectful. During the time of prayer at the end of the meeting, everyone present quietly bowed their heads! Lets pray that many of those there responded to the Lord.

EMMANUEL PENTECOSTAL CHURCH

		Ian and Koya made up the Tough Talk team for an evening meeting at Emmanuel Pentecostal Church on Lee High Road, London. There was an enthusiastic audience who watched Koya demonstrate the powerlifting squat and they also heard him give a powerful testimony of how Jesus had changed his life. After Ian made a gospel challenge, many responded and were prayed for after the meeting.
